Thomas R. Graves
Biography
Born in New England, Tom Graves attended high school in Indiana, and graduated from Oberlin College and the Oberlin Conservatory in 2000. Tom holds a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin, and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in San Francisco.
Experience
Tom Graves has helped families and individuals in a variety of estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters, including the preparation and execution of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. He has also assisted individuals as they work to fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities, whether as a trustee, personal representative, or agent under power of attorney.
In representing small and family businesses, Mr. Graves has guided clients through the formation, development, succession, and sale of their businesses. In addition to advising business clients generally with respect to developing and protecting their intellectual property rights, he has shepherded dozens of trade and service marks through the federal trademark registration process.
